Meet Our Team

Russ Buchmann

Russ Buchmann has been a key Shoe Fly administrator since 2004 and is a member of our executive team as vice president of information technology. Russ recently celebrated his 15th year with Shoe Fly. His core responsibilities are to oversee our IT infrastructure and strategy, as well as working as acting marketing coordinator for our marketing team.

Todd Lewis

Todd Lewis is president of the Shoe Fly corporation. He manages the finances, human resources, and business development, as well as legal and leasing. He worked at the Morris Levine Family Shoe Store in Tyrone throughout high school and college, before purchasing Levine’s in 1988, where he went on to operate it independently until 1997. Todd and Levine’s joined Shoe Fly group in 2003, at the same time that the store moved south to Altoona. Todd lives on a farm and works from our corporate office in Tyrone, PA

Greg Wagner

Greg Wagner hails from Pittsburgh area and is the fifth generation of the Wagner family to own and operate retail shoe stores. Greg is one of the owners of Shoe Fly and oversees much of the inventory budget and strategy as the vice president of purchasing. He also has specific buying responsibilities for work boots and comfort shoes, and he leads our work boot team. Greg also serves as the board chairman.

In addition to the Shoe Fly Stores, Greg and his family own Wagner Quality Shoes in Pittsburgh and Monroeville, one of the oldest privately-owned retail shoe stores in the United States.

Charlie Biddle

Charlie Biddle lives near State College, PA and works from his home as the corporate secretary. He’s also the vice president of marketing, leading the marketing team which includes Todd and Russ. Charlie and Todd went to Tyrone High School and worked together at the Morris Levine store during their college years.

Charlie is the buyer for men’s and women’s athletic shoes, and is the point of contact for New Balance, Shoe Fly’s largest vendor.

George Gripp

George Gripp lives between Tyrone and State College, PA. George serves as Shoe Fly’s corporate vice president, managing much of the men’s and women’s fashion merchandise, and children’s athletic shoes. He is also the vice president of corporate and store facilities.

In his spare time, George is also the varsity basketball coach in Tyrone and is very knowledgeable regarding athletic shoes and sports.

Mark Wagner

Mark Wagner became a part-owner of Shoe Fly in 2020 and is a member of our executive team. Mark is the retail operations manager for the western district and is a 6th generation shoe store owner in the Pittsburgh area. Mark is the newest member of the ownership team and has a role on the marketing team as well. Full bio to come!
