From founding Shoe Fly to its day-to-day operations, our owners are involved every step of the way.
Todd Lewis is president of the Shoe Fly corporation. He manages the finances, human resources, and business development, as well as legal and leasing. He worked at the Morris Levine Family Shoe Store in Tyrone throughout high school and college, before purchasing Levine’s in 1988, where he went on to operate it independently until 1997. Todd and Levine’s joined Shoe Fly group in 2003, at the same time that the store moved south to Altoona. Todd lives on a farm and works from our corporate office in Tyrone, PA
Charlie Biddle lives near State College, PA and works from his home as the corporate secretary. He’s also the vice president of marketing, leading the marketing team which includes Todd and Russ. Charlie and Todd went to Tyrone High School and worked together at the Morris Levine store during their college years.
Charlie is the buyer for men’s and women’s athletic shoes, and is the point of contact for New Balance, Shoe Fly’s largest vendor.
Greg Wagner hails from Pittsburgh area and is the fifth generation of the Wagner family to own and operate retail shoe stores. Greg is one of the owners of Shoe Fly and oversees much of the inventory budget and strategy as the vice president of purchasing. He also has specific buying responsibilities for work boots and comfort shoes, and he leads our work boot team. Greg also serves as the board chairman.
In addition to the Shoe Fly Stores, Greg and his family own Wagner Quality Shoes in Pittsburgh and Monroeville, one of the oldest privately-owned retail shoe stores in the United States.
George Gripp lives between Tyrone and State College, PA. George serves as Shoe Fly’s corporate vice president, managing much of the men’s and women’s fashion merchandise, and children’s athletic shoes. He is also the vice president of corporate and store facilities.
In his spare time, George is also the varsity basketball coach in Tyrone and is very knowledgeable regarding athletic shoes and sports.
Russ Buchmann has been a key Shoe Fly administrator since 2004 and is a member of our executive team as vice president of information technology. Russ is the newest member of the ownership team, recently celebrating his 15th year with Shoe Fly. His core responsibilities are to oversee our IT infrastructure and strategy, as well as working as acting marketing coordinator for our marketing team.

Meet Shoe Fly's Partnered Pedorthist: Dr. David Levine
I have been in practice in Frederick, MD for more than 25 years. Everyday I see how footwear is such an important part of the foot health solution. That’s why I partnered to start Shoe Fly – Frederick, with the goal of helping my patients – as well as the region – find quality footwear that is professionally fitted to the proper size and width.

Every Shoe Fly store is overseen by a manager who’s passionate about the shoe business.
Brian Henry is the store manager of Shoe Fly York, bringing over 35 years of experience in shoe store management to the position. Prior to his time at Shoe Fly, Brian worked for Kinney Shoes and JCPenney and gained significant store management and merchandising educations through their training programs. Brian has a special interest in children’s footwear and has established outreach programs in the York region with a number of senior living facilities.
Jack Garrett is the store manager at Shoe Fly in Frederick, Maryland. Jack’s previous experience started with Foot Locker. He later returned to hometown in Hanover, PA to work at a family business called Instant Replay, which was an athletic shoe and clothing store. He brings over 30 years in retail management and customer service experience. Jack and his family are very passionate about Florida State sports and often attend at least 1 football game in Tallahassee each year.
John Koucheravy is a certified pedorthist and the general manager of Shoe Fly Rockville. John started selling shoes at Thom McAn shoes in 1983 and managed several of their locations. In 1998 he joined Richey & Co. Shoes in Rockville as a store manager. He became a certified pedorthist in 2000 and has helped many clients with custom orthotics and shoe modifications. He is excited to be able to continue working with customers in the area since the change to Shoe Fly in 2019.
John Ogilvie is the store manager at Shoe Fly Camp Hill. John leads a staff of six employees and has a special interest and background in children’s shoes. Prior to working with Shoe Fly John worked at Irving Shoes, Harry’s Buster Brown Shoes, and the Child Life kids shoe factory. John’s wife Lynn works at Shoe Fly York.

AJ Kelly is a Certified Pedorthist and is the Store Manager of AppRunCo – Altoona. AJ also has a love for running and has received numerous rewards in area and regional races. AJ attended the Eneslow Pedorthic Institute in NYC.
Ben Nebroski is a certified pedorthist at Shoe Fly Harrisburg. He was a former Foot Solutions employee in Harrisburg and learned the pedorthic profession through their training program. Ben assists Kristen with outreach and medical referrals and by establishing his pedorthic practice has helped grow the Harrisburg store.
Beth Hogan is a certified pedorthist at the Shoe Fly Camp Hill. She studied at the Eneslow Pedorthic Institute in NYC and learned the retail shoe business in our Harrisburg store. Beth assists with outreach and medical referrals.
Gregg Larson is a certified pedorthist at Shoe Fly York. Before joining Shoe Fly, Gregg was trained in pedorthy at Foot Solutions stores in Lancaster and York. Gregg assists with outreach and has helped to grow the York store by establishing his pedorthic practice.
